I could have done with even less Orion Lake, but I recognize this is a personal problem. She had interpersonal struggles as well as moral struggles. I enjoyed that Galadriel had a chance to grow, but it wasn't just a constant power climb. We cant wait to welcome Naomi Novik to celebrate paperback publication of The Golden Enclaves, on 10th July. I felt like this book did a good job of tying up loose ends I cared about while also delving into new interesting things like Yancy, the magical exploratory hobo I liked seeing how interpersonal interaction changed outside of the school. Once I got to *that* part, I had trouble going to bed. I also *loved* the explanation on how enclaves are built. I got so much satisfaction out of this plot twist, you have no idea. It fixed some of the things that I didn't like about it's predecessors and went out with a bang. TL DR: I am not Orion Lake's biggest fan but I like Naomi Novik. The setting never completely grabbed me and some of the character dynamic stuff didn't do it for me. I had read the first 2, but they were in the 3 star range for me.
